PowerDe lists two driving-style steam cleaning machines side by side: the PWD01 and the PWD02. Each model appears in a version with battery and a version without battery, both offer dry steam, wet steam and hot water modes, and both are described for indoor garages and narrow outdoor parking areas. Because the two descriptions read almost the same, buyers frequently ask what actually separates them. The difference comes down to three items that are stated on the product pages: machine footprint, clean water tank capacity, and the power supply each listing specifies.
What the Two Machines Share
Before comparing, it helps to know what is identical, because the cleaning capability itself is not where the models diverge. Both the PowerDe PWD01 steam cleaner and the PowerDe PWD02 steam cleaner are listed with:
- Three cleaning modes: hot water, dry steam and wet steam
- 4.5 kW PTC semiconductor heating, described as safe and reliable
- Autonomous driving, with the ability to stop and drive away at any time
- A tap-water inlet, a high-pressure water gun with nozzle, and a vacuum cleaner with a flat nozzle connected to a sewage tank
- Leakage, short-circuit, high-temperature, high-voltage and water-shortage protection, plus high-voltage explosion-proof design
Both are aimed at the same working environment: indoor garages and tight outdoor parking spaces. The choice between them is therefore about size, run time and power arrangement, not about cleaning power.
Difference 1: Footprint and Maneuverability
This is the most practical difference between the two listings. The PWD01 measures L2500 mm × W900 mm × H1050 mm. The PWD02 measures L1275 mm × W570 mm × H1185 mm. The PWD02 is roughly half the length of the PWD01 and 330 mm narrower (570 mm versus 900 mm), which lets it fit into a single parking bay, pass through narrow aisles, and work close to columns and walls inside a garage. The PWD01's larger frame exists to carry a bigger tank, but it needs more room to position and turn.
Difference 2: Clean Water Tank Capacity
The PWD01 carries an 80 L clean water tank; the PWD02 carries a 60 L tank. On a continuous wash run, the larger tank means fewer refilling stops and steadier work through a queue of vehicles. Where a water tap is within reach and jobs are shorter, the 60 L tank on the more compact machine is usually sufficient, and the smaller body is the bigger advantage.
Difference 3: Power Supply as Listed
The two pages specify power differently. The PWD01 pages list a 48 V mobile battery and note that the battery is customer provided. The PWD02 pages list 220 V working voltage with a replaceable mobile battery, shown on the listing as 455 V. Because the wording of these power entries is brief and the two pages describe the battery arrangements differently, confirm the exact voltage and battery configuration for your site with PowerDe before ordering.
Side-by-Side Summary
| Item | PWD01 | PWD02 |

| Machine dimensions | L2500 × W900 × H1050 mm | L1275 × W570 × H1185 mm |
| Clean water tank | 80 L | 60 L |
| Power supply as listed | 48 V mobile battery, customer provided | 220 V, replaceable mobile battery (listed as 455 V) |
| Heating | 4.5 kW PTC semiconductor | 4.5 kW PTC semiconductor |
| Cleaning modes | Hot water, dry steam, wet steam | Hot water, dry steam, wet steam |
What "With Battery" and "Without Battery" Mean
Each model is published twice: once including the battery and once without it. The machine specifications are the same in both listings; the difference is whether the battery ships with the unit. If you already stock compatible batteries or source them locally, the without-battery listing avoids paying twice. If you want the machine to arrive ready to work, choose the listing that includes the battery.
Which Listing Fits Your Site
- Tight aisles, single parking bays, or frequent work between narrow indoor spaces: the 570 mm wide PWD02 is the better fit.
- Long continuous wash runs where you want fewer refilling stops: the 80 L tank on the PWD01 suits the workload, provided your garage allows its larger frame.
- Existing battery stock: choose a without-battery listing; otherwise choose the version that includes the battery.
Both models are part of PowerDe's mobile steam cleaning machine range. For dimensions, battery options or a configuration for your facility, contact the PowerDe sales team directly through the inquiry form on the product page.
