How can operators assess site requirements for PowerDe PWD02 without battery?

When a cleaning bay plan centres on a driving style steam cleaner, the battery is usually the last line item a buyer examines and the first one a site manager argues about. Some facilities want the energy storage on board because their power distribution is fixed and running a cable across a public area is impractical. Others prefer the PowerDe PWD02 (without battery) variant, because the machine will always stand beside a supply point and a spare battery pack is one more thing to charge, store and replace.

That decision is not a product preference. It is a site question. Before you specify the machine, walk the location with the following checklist and record what you find.

1. How far is the power source, and can the cable stay out of the way?

Measure the real path a cable would take from the supply panel or outlet to the furthest point the machine has to reach. A short straight distance on a drawing can become a long route once walls, drainage channels and customer traffic lanes push it around the perimeter.

For each route, confirm that the cable can be run along a wall, through a doorway rated for the job, or under a protector rated for vehicle traffic. In parking areas and forecourts where no such route exists, battery operation on the battery-included variant may be the practical option even though it adds weight and maintenance to the fleet. Where a fixed outlet is available at the bay, the battery-free variant keeps the wiring in one place instead of across the site.

2. What does the supply actually deliver, and is it spare capacity?

A cleaning machine does not care what the panel was designed for. Before ordering, ask the electrical contractor on site for three facts: the available supply voltage, the circuit rating at the point you intend to connect, and whether that circuit is already carrying other equipment at the same shift hours. A circuit that can carry the machine at 09:00 may trip at 14:00 when the compressors, dryers or lighting for the second shift are also running.

The electrical data for the model is published on the product page at https://www.powerde.net/qingjiehangye/50.html. Match that published data against the contractor's figures rather than against a rule of thumb. If the numbers do not line up, PowerDe's engineering team can be consulted through the solutions and customization page before you commit to either variant.

3. How wide is the working space, and how does the machine move through it?

This family of cleaning equipment is intended for indoor garages and narrow outdoor parking spaces, which means the width of the aisle, the turning radius at the end of the bay and the height of any barrier above the route all matter. Take a tape measure to the narrowest point on the route, including pillars, gates, bollards and charging or washing frames, and note the clearance in both width and height.

Then watch an operator repeat the route empty-handed. A layout that an operator can walk is not automatically a layout an operator can drive a loaded machine through. Ramps, drainage gratings, speed bumps and step edges all change what a machine can reach, and they are the points where a battery-free unit is usually at an advantage, because there is no pack to swap out at the end of a shift.

4. Where does the water come from and where does it go?

The PWD02 runs on tap water through a 4-point internal-tooth inlet. Confirm the location and pressure of a nearby tap, the length of hose needed to reach it, and whether that hose crosses a customer area or a vehicle lane on the way. Then look at the floor: steam and hot-water cleaning produces run-off, and the drainage path, oil separator or settlement tank downstream of the bay determines whether the run-off can leave the site legally.

Sites with no suitable drainage need a contained wash pad before any machine is installed. Steam and hot-water modes use far less water than a hose, which is why they are attractive on water-constrained sites, but less water is not no water.

5. What is being cleaned, and which mode does the work?

The PWD02 is listed with dry-steam, wet-steam and hot-water modes. Write down each recurring task in your facility — vehicle exterior cleaning, interior work, engine-compartment degreasing, floor and equipment cleaning — and match it to a mode. A site that only needs light dusting on interiors may not justify the same configuration as a site removing oil and traffic film from underbodies and engine bays.

If your task list includes engine compartment steam cleaning or fixed-bay vehicle work, check whether a fixed unit on the same product line fits the workflow better than a mobile one. A mobile machine earns its cost where the machine must follow the work; a fixed unit earns its cost where the work comes to the machine.

6. What happens when the machine is not running?

Storage space, frost protection, and who inspects the unit between shifts are the parts of the plan that usually get left out. A battery-free variant removes the charging space and the pack-replacement schedule, but it still needs somewhere dry to stand, a drain-down routine if the site freezes overnight, and a water supply that is not going to be shut off during cleaning hours.

The same walk applies to PowerDe PWD01 (without battery) and the hand-pushed models in the range. The questions do not change between models; only the answers do.

The checklist, in one pass

  • Cable route measured in real metres, not drawing metres, and physically protectable
  • Voltage and circuit rating confirmed by the site electrician, including concurrent load
  • Narrowest clearance on the route recorded in width and height
  • Tap-water point located, hose length confirmed, run-off route to drainage verified
  • Every recurring cleaning task mapped to dry steam, wet steam or hot water
  • Storage location, drain-down routine and inspection owner named

Fill those six boxes and the battery question answers itself. Shenzhen PowerDe Automation Precision Equipment publishes the configuration options and the engineering service behind them, so a site survey from your side and a spec conversation with theirs is the shortest path to the right variant.
